The members are both direct and indirect stakeholders. Direct stakeholders include those who are impacted by the health issue that is researched. Indirect stakeholders are those individuals involved in a variety of occupations with a genuine interest in community growth, health issues, research ethics: these include doctors, lawyers, and exemplary citizens with a demonstrable social conscience. The members voice their concerns based upon their involvement in their respective communities and provide feedback on proposed research questions and study design.
