To ensure continuity in HIV care continuum and support local health systems, we integrated resources of two community health clinics in Chennai and Nellore. Following a nationwide lockdown from 23rd March 2020, registered PLHIV/TB were contacted by counselors to enquire about their well-being and availability of ART/ATT.

Outpatient Service And Web Consultation

Two clinicians have been stationed to screen asymptomatic individuals, including frontline workers. Another two clinicians follow-up on contact-tracing with tele surveys. Three laboratory technicians work to collect nasopharyngeal and oropharyngeal swabs from homes/hospitals for screening (E gene) and confirmatory (RdRp) RT-PCR under BSL-III. Data is captured via cloud-based HIS. Real-time COVID-19 surveillance reports are then shared with the Directorate of Public Health and Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).
