Bridging the gap between persons who need help and those providing services.

The YRG121 Helpdesk is extended to provide helpline services to callers in need of information related to HIV, COVID-19, and related mental health and psychosocial support.

As the global pandemic worsens daily with no clear information of its short and long-term impacts, the effort taken by YRGCARE to focus on early risk assessment, effective communication, and offering linkages with the public and private healthcare system can contribute meaningfully. The community is in dire need of accurate information, and a sense of solidarity to encourage those at risk to protect themselves and the people around them.

YRG Foundation plans the following activities through two hubs in South India – Chennai and Bengaluru to meet with each of our goals mentioned below - supporting the mental and psychosocial well-being in different target groups during the outbreak through tele cafes (telephone and video counseling), advocacy for the general public, counseling for those most at risk and special populations like children and adults living with HIV as well as zoom online training & capacity building of healthcare workers, counselors, managers and social work interns.
