The project works towards increasing the demand for and distribution of COVID-19 vaccinations, particularly for vulnerable and marginalized populations. The project is supporting the Govt. of India's nationwide COVID-19 vaccine deployment efforts in the following areas: vaccine planning and prioritization for equitable delivery; supply chains and logistics; service delivery and use, including delivery modalities; health workforce expansion and capacity building; community engagement, demand generation and risk communication; and surveillance, vaccine safety, monitoring, and evaluation.

YRGCARE through Project MOMENTUM Routine Immunization has facilitated the administration of 6,41,928 lakh vaccine doses to people across its five operational districts in Maharashtra between January 2022 to January 2023.

Project team members have facilitated vaccines to 20 vulnerable and high-risk groups of populations including indigenous communities, migrants, minorities, adolescents/teenagers, pregnant women, and more.
