Dr Pradeep, Chief Medical Officer, YRGCARE is an active researcher in the field of HIV Medicine. His key interests are HIV/HCV co-infections and HIV immunology. He has served in multiple ACTG trials and is the Principal Investigator on record for all YRGCARE NIH network trials and serves as an investigator in the Hepatitis Transformative Scientific Committee at the US NIH.

Over the past decade, Dr Pradeep has been invested in investigating the interaction between HIV, viral hepatitis, and drug abuse. Ever since he served as a clinician at a clinic and led the implementation of a randomised clinical trial of field based directly observed therapy of direct acting antivirals on PWIDs in Chennai, he has been working with this vulnerable population in other locations. Dr Pradeep and his team are currently following PWIDs who achieved SVR12 to assess reinfection rates and behavioural changes following successful completion of DAA’s.

Dr. Pradeep has been actively involved in the management of mild to critical Covid-19 patients at YRGCARE and its network of hospitals in Chennai, including telemedicine across India. In June 2022, he received the Royal Thai Consulate’s Excellence Award for his clinical services during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dr. Pradeep completed his medical training from the Sri Ramachandra Medical University in Chennai and was trained in clinical research and HIV as part of a Fogarty International Clinical Research Scholarship program at Brown University.
