Ganesh is a seasoned public health professional with over 30 years of expertise in HIV research and management. His extensive background extends to project structuring; implementation; fundraising; financial management; grants/contracts administration from US Federal awards, European Union, the Global Fund for AIDS, TB and Malaria, numerous private foundations, and CSR; compliance; governance; and regulatory affairs.

Ganesh has spearheaded pioneering efforts in HIV prevention, care, and research since 1991. He has fostered fruitful collaborations with donor agencies, esteemed universities, and research institutions both within India and on a global scale, further solidifying his reputation as a stalwart in the field.

Ganesh has been responsible for setting up Office of Research Development and the Institutional Review Board (ethical reviews for all research studies). He also supervises the grants and contracts administration portfolio. He administered the registration of YRG Foundation with the US Federal-wide Assurance, Office of Research Integrity and clinicaltrials.gov, and with the CSIR/DST as a research institution, making the Foundation eligible for DBT grants and for exemption of import duties on clinical trial products.
