Dr Solomon is a distinguished researcher, with a primary focus on epidemiology, clinical management, and improving access to HIV and HCV care for marginalised populations in India, including people who inject drugs and men who have sex with men. His prolific body of work is well-documented in prestigious, peer-reviewed publications like Lancet ID, Lancet HIV, Clinical Infectious Diseases, and AIDS.

As the Director, Antiviral Studies in India, Dr Solomon assists in forging connections with the Division of Infectious Diseases, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, USA, to implement studies and training related to viral infectious diseases in India including HIV, viral hepatitis, and SARS-CoV-2.

As the Clinical Coordinator, Dr Solomon ensures that the clinical care being provided as part of projects where Johns Hopkins is the prime recipient is in line with the current national and international guidelines, as applicable.

Dr Solomon is currently Professor of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, USA, and also Professor of Epidemiology, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. He is also serving as Co-Director, Center for Infectious Diseases in India, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
